Easter: Bayelsa politician, Chief Ophori preaches peace, unity, oneness

Sampou—Chief Readdy Donye Ophori has on behalf of his family felicitated with the good people of Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency 1 in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.

He also felicitated the leadership, stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, urging them to use the Easter season to reminisce on Christs’ lessons and sacrifice.

Chief Ophori who is a frontline aspirant for the Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency 1 seat in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly made this known in a statement on Sunday.

The assembly aspirant enjoined Bayelsans particularly the people of Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency 1 to use the Easter period to preach peace, unity and oneness.

“It behooves on us as a people to use this period to preach peace, unity and oneness so we can herald the development and focused leadership we desire,” he said.

He urged them to use the season to pray for the progress, prosperity and security of the country even as it prepares for another round of elections.
