Nembe—The founder of Otita Transformation Movement, popularly known as Otita Force Worldwide, Prince Gabriel Jonah, has expressed gratitude to the people of Nembe Constituency 1 for the peaceful and orderly manner they conducted themselves before, during and after the March 18 House of Assembly election.
Jonah in a statement by his Media Assistant, Tari Agai, described the election as the most peaceful and credible ever conducted in the constituency.
He appreciated the people for upholding the gentleman’s agreement of rotating the assembly seat after every 8 years, stressing that it would have been unfair to deny the people of Okoroma Clan who have never gotten a taste of it, since the inception of democracy in 1999.
According to him, he led the campaign of the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr Oteigbanyo George-Braah to tell the people that they do not need a political party, but a man who will do what is in their best interest.
Jonah assured that “George-Braah is that man that has come to unite the people and make them actualize their dreams of true greatness.”
He stressed that what is needed now is to sustain the existing peace and build stronger bonds of love, unity and friendship among the people.
“Peace and unity are the major catalysts of development and prosperity, therefore all those who contested with Barr George-Braah, should accept the offer of his olive branch if their intention was actually to bring prosperity to the constituency,” he said.
Jonah commended the leadership and members of the Wind Dynasty for upholding the sanctity of the constituency and averred that, it is a clear demonstration of the fact that the core interests of the constituency, supersede individual or party interests.
He also lauded members of Otita Force, other sociopolitical groups and professional bodies that contributed to the victory of George Braah, assuring that their efforts will yield results.
Jonah equally commended officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for being meticulous in their electoral duties without bias.
While applauding security agencies for a peaceful and hitch-free election, he also congratulated George-Braah and reaffirmed his commitment towards fostering partnership with everyone for the interest of Nembe Se.
