Yenagoa—A socio-cultural group, Izon-Tukpa Sisters of Ikebiri Kingdom has called on a Bayelsa operations Coordinator of Tantita Security Service Limited, Great Joshua Maciver to contest the 2023 Bayelsa State Governorship election.
The group made the call on Thursday in Yenagoa while on a courtesy while visiting Maciver for successful celebration of the Dirimobou Festival held in Ikebiri Kingdom.
The group was received by its patron and chief executive officer of Otingbi media, Mr. Mienpamo Saint.
The director general of the group, Ebilatei Onitsha, while appreciating the leader of Izon-Tukpa for successfully hosting the festival and recounted his achievements so far.
According to the group, Maciver has remained steadfast in the regular payment of N65,000 stipend to his followers from the inception of the Presidential Amnesty Program for Niger Delta ex-agitators without any hitches.
They lauded him for the regular payment of monthly stipends to hundreds of elderly women in Ikebiri, Olugbobiri, Ikeinghabiri, and Korokorosei Communities in Olodiama Clan.
The group reckoned that Maciver has used Tantita to empower thousands of youths in Bayelsa, awarded scholarships to thousands of Niger Delta youths to various universities in Nigeria, payment of WAEC fees for students of Comprehensive High School, Ikebiri 1, among others.
