Port Harcourt—The Amadabo of Sambo Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom of Bayelsa State, HRH Samuel Sambo has felicitated Chief Samuel Ogbuku on his appointment and inauguration as the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

The paramount ruler also expressed satisfaction with President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to finally constitute a substantive Board to head the intervention agency.

Sambo in a statement released to newsmen on Friday said Ogbuku’s appointment did not come as a surprise to him given his knowledge and experience in public service, adding that his passion for the development of the Niger Delta region makes him fit for the role.

He, however, urged the new boss of the NDDC “to continue to have that passion for development, walk with God that has elevated him in due season, discharge his duties humbly and be courageous enough to take tough decisions that will take NDDC to greater heights and improve the lives of our people.”

The philanthropic monarch also admonished staff of the Commission and the people of Niger Delta “to give Ogbuku and the entire board the needed support to execute their noble vision aimed at transforming the oil-rich region.”
