Group rallies support for Ogbuku as NASS confirms Tinubu’s NDDC nominees

Port Harcourt—The South-South Integrity Group has expressed delight following the confirmation of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku as MD/CEO of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) by the National Assembly.

The group in a statement by its President, Comr. Alex Alabo Nathan in Port Harcourt on Wednesday also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for reposing confidence in Ogbuku by reappointing him to oversee the affairs of the commission.

The group said Ogbuku’s reinstatement is a good omen for the Niger Delta people, adding that by the re-appointment, he will continue to implement his developmental agenda to transform the region without any form of distraction or hindrance.

The group further called on all stakeholders to give Ogbuku the needed support to succeed as the commission’s boss.

“The NDDC is already functioning optimally within this period that an honest, result-oriented, and experienced leader like Ogbuku has been at the saddle, making strategic efforts to change the narratives of the region.

“It is our conviction that this worthy son of the Niger Delta will, without fear or favour, live up to the responsibilities of his exalted position in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.

“We therefore call on all stakeholders and people of the oil-rich region to keep giving the NDDC boss the needed support for him to succeed,” the statement partly read.
