Sling is a grassroots mobilizer, groups felicitate Bayelsa politician on his birthday

Southern Ijaw—Several groups have sent messages felicitating Hon. Iyenimi Sling, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State on the occasion of his birthday.

A statement by the Media Director of Team Risk Free, Innocent Patrick Alakere, described Sling as a “political tactician, grassroots mobilizer and team player popular in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area and beyond.”

Sling who is the founder of the group according to the statement has been a strong pillar of Southern Ijaw politics.

The group also prayed to God to continually uplift and bless him.

Similarly, another group, Iyenimi Ladies of Peremabiri in a felicitation message by the group’s Women Leader, Grace Aaron hailed Sling as a brave and development oriented individual whose achievements have greatly contributed to the peace and development of the local government.

The group while eulogizing the APC chieftain for his leadership qualities, service to humanity and forthrightness wished him more fruitful years ahead. gathered that Sling, a trained political scientist and student of criminology in the National Open University is also the Chief Executive Officer of Inipa Synergy Limited.

He was a lawmaker and leader of the Southern Ijaw Legislative Assembly in 2010.

A former House of Assembly candidate in Southern Ijaw constituency 3, Sling coordinated the constituency for the Sylva/Igiri and Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri guber aspirations.

Most recently, he was at the forefront of mobilising support across the length and breadth of Bayelsa and beyond for Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi in the past APC presidential primaries.
