Brass—The paramount ruler of Sambo-Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom of Bayelsa State, HRH Samuel Sambo wished his subjects, the people of Bayelsa and Nigerians especially Christian faithful a blissful and memorable yuletide celebration.
The monarch averred that Christmas signifies the magnanimity of God who sent His only begotten Son to come and die for the sins of mankind.
In a Christmas message sent to journalists on Wednesday, Sambo called for the celebration of the season in line with Christ’s timeless teachings of peace, forbearance, charity, oneness, forgiveness and the like.
“As we know, the Gospel of Christ is mostly anchored on love, so we need to express it not just to fellow believers but to all humans, regardless of religious, political and socio-cultural differences.
“I equally admonish us to use this season to pray for God to help us tackle the biting inflation, insecurity, job losses, underemployment, economic sabotage and other challenges we are facing in Nigeria,” the monarch said.

Sambo equally called for prayers toward next year’s general election.
“This,” according to him, “is pertinent because, next year, we are going to the polls to elect candidates that will occupy various elective positions across the nation.
“We need peace and order for those elections to take place as well as divine direction to elect only candidates that will contribute to the betterment of the country.
“I do not doubt in my mind that God will provide and protect us throughout this Yuletide and usher us gloriously into 2023.”
