NDCMB begins training of 500 persons in GSM phone repair in Bayelsa

Yenagoa—The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has kick-started the training of 500 persons in GSM Phone repair in Yenagoa, Bayelsa.

According to a statement on the Board’s official Facebook page, the training was initiated by the NCDMB Youth Empowerment Training Programme aimed at building the capacity of Nigerian Youths through sellable Skills Acquisition.

The statement further read, “The General Manager, Research Statistics & Development, NCDMB, Mr. Abdulmalik Halilu in his remark after giving an overview of the training programme urged Trainees to grab the opportunity created by the training to join the global trend of providing innovative solutions as Entrepreneurs.

“Mr Halilu informed Participants that the NCDMB worked with the Bayelsa State Government to design this 3 phase training programme for Bayelsans across the 8 Local Government Areas.

“Mr Halilu further congratulated all Trainees who made the list, on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote (FNSE, FIPS) and wished them the best as they set on the journey of being empowered and becoming income earners in their own right.

“The Commissioner for Labour, Employment & Productivity, Bayelsa State, Mr Stanley Braboke, in his keynote address thanked the Board for partnering with the Bayelsa State Government in bringing this training to reality. He encouraged trainees to take the training seriously.”
