Lagos—The Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) has commenced a 5-day training for staff of the National Health Insurance Agency on visual communication and infographics in Lagos.
A statement by the Head of Public Affairs Unit, Digital Bridge Institute, Akin Ogunlade on Monday disclosed that the President of DBI, Prof. Mohammed Ajiya while declaring the training open welcomed and gave a brief overview of the training to the participants.
Ajiya being represented by the Head of Lagos learning centre, Alhaji Sani Tsoho Yakawada also informed participants that the institute is the foremost government-affiliated training and human capacity development organisation in ICT in Nigeria.
He stressed that DBI has trained over 14,000 participants in ICT skills.
He further said the national council on communications and digital economy in its regular meeting in Owerri from November 27th to December 2nd, 2020 approved DBI to be the ICT training Institute for all ministries, departments, and agencies of government.
Yakawada added that the institute is among the few accredited centers of excellence in Africa by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU).
Mangrovepen.ng gathered that a total number of 42 participants are to receive the training for five days.
