Jonah commends Diri for flagging-off Nembe-Brass road

Nembe—Leader of the Otita Transformation Movement, popularly called Otita Force, Prince Gabriel Jonah, has commended Governor Douye Diri for the official flag-off of the Nembe-Brass Road project.

He described the Nembe-Brass road as a major economic corridor, not only to Bayelsa State but Nigeria as a whole.

In a statement by his media assistant, Tari Agai, Jonah stated that the road when completed will provide the best atmosphere for the blue economy and the oil and gas sector to flourish.

While expressing his profound gratitude to the Governor, Jonah recalled how he called Diri’s attention to the Nembe-Brass road project, in a similar statement, wherein he appreciated him for the completion of the Nembe Unity Bridge.

He averred that Diri’s sensitivity to the plight of the people and his glaring commitment to carry along the Nembe people in his developmental blueprint for the State has brought a glowing beacon light of hope to them.

Jonah, who is also a youth and grassroots mobilizer, however, advised youths of Nembe and Brass Local Government Areas, as well as the various communities’ internal security teams, to put up a community spirit and partner with government and relevant security agencies, in providing a peaceful and hospitable environment for the contractors to do their work without any hindrance.

While calling on the contractors to also consider the community context in their job, he stated that it will be a great disservice to the community not to encourage the government and the contractors to complete the project.

He noted that anybody or group of persons engaging in acts capable of ruining the project should be seen as an enemy of the Nembe people.

Jonah, while advising multinationals operating in the area to support Diri to complete the project, also called on investors to begin to beam their searchlight on the area, as it will be the next investment hub of the nation.
