Yenagoa—The Bayelsa state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated the winners of the senatorial primary elections held in the three senatorial districts of the state on Tuesday.
The Party in a statement signed by its publicity secretary, Ebiye Ogoli expressed delight in the outcome of the primaries and adjudged the elections to be free, fair, and credible.
The statement felicitated the former Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson who emerged winner of the Bayelsa West senatorial contest; Rt. Hon. Kombowei Friday Benson who came out tops to win the seat of the Central Senatorial District; and Chief Benson Sunday Agadaga who equally came out victorious, clinching the ticket of the Bayelsa East Senatorial district.
The party in the statement further commended security agencies, the INEC, PDP Adhoc election personnel, party leaders, and many others for their various roles in the successful conduct of the primaries.
However, the Bayelsa State chapter of the PDP urged all candidates to extend a hand of fellowship to their colleagues and contestants in the true spirit of unity, love and friendship to reflect the character of the party.
