Bayelsa lawmaker felicitates constituents on Easter, preaches love, selflessness, peaceful co-existence

Yenagoa—The lawmaker representing Brass constituency I in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Daniel Charles has felicitated Christians around the world, calling for the advancement of love, peace, courage, selflessness, and honesty as they mark Easter.

The lawmaker in his Easter message released on Sunday urged his constituents and Bayelsans, in general, to also co-exist peacefully with one another as followers of Christ whose resurrection is the reason for the season.

While thanking his constituents for their support, the lawmaker reaffirmed his will and commitment to serve them in the best way possible.

He said “I send warm felicitations to the Christian brethren all over the world on the occasion of Easter which signifies the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“I particularly enjoin constituents in this season and beyond to emulate the virtues of love, sacrifice, honesty, courage, and selflessness as perfectly exemplified by Christ.

“Let brotherly love envelop our hearts while we give to one another generously and also live as brothers and sisters. By so doing, peace and lasting unity shall exist in and among our communities.

“As we all know, peaceful co-existence is a panacea for development because there can never be continuous progress in a crisis-ridden society.

“Moving forward, let us adhere to this divine instruction of love regardless of our religious and sociopolitical orientations.”

The lawmaker expressed the belief that with the love of Christ enveloping the people, politics will not tear them apart or cause crises that may impede the development process of the constituency.
