PAP students commend Dikio over TEM programme

Abuja—The National Association of Presidential Amnesty Students Worldwide (NAPASW), has commended the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Col. Milland Dixon Dikio (rtd) for introducing the Train, Employ and Mentor (TEM) Programme.

In a statement by its National Media/Publicity Director, Comrade Emmanuel Moses, the association lauded Col. Dikio for moving from the retrogressive pattern of just issuing out contracts without conducting impact/needs assessment.

According to the association, “this is evident by the constant monitoring and evaluation of contracts in order to ensure that they are executed according to clearly defined specifications and targets which are geared towards creating a pool of solution providers through viable high skill human capacity development programmes to fit regional needs.”

The association also commended Mr. Alfred Kemepade “who was physically present on Friday (18/3/2022) to monitor and evaluate the progress of trainees at Bradama Training Center, Ondo State.”

The Statement added that the “Train, Employ and Mentor Programme is reintegration in real terms.

“If Delegates are not good enough to be employed by training institutions, then they shouldn’t be good enough to be trained by training institutions who are not willing or lacking the capacity to absorb qualified trained delegates in line with the new vision of the Dikio-led interim administration, which is poised towards changing the narrative of (PAP) in real terms.”

The body also hailed the Amnesty office for the opportunity given to Niger Delta Youths to study in the best Institutions in Nigeria like Afe Babalola, Baze, Nile, Covenant University, etc, noting that the scholarship programme is setting the stage for an educational revolution that will change the narrative of the Niger-Delta Region for good.

The PAP student leader however appealed to Dikio to give topmost priority to students’ welfare as a vehicle to achieve optimal performance and effect the much-desired change.
