2nd Anniversary: federal lawmaker, Obua lauds Diri for infrastructural, human capital development

Yenagoa—The lawmaker representing Ogbia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Azibapu Fred Obua, has on behalf of his family and constituents congratulated Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrujakpo on the second anniversary of the prosperity administration.

Obua who is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors commended Diri for executing massive infrastructural projects, human capacity development and life-changing programmes.

He hailed the governor for commencing the second anniversary celebration with the flag-off of free medical and surgical outreach at Christ Catholic Hospital in Imiringi community, Ogbia Local Government Area.

The deputy chairman of the House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values also commended the Bayelsa Governor for the flag-off of the dry season farming at Otuasega community.

He hailed Diri for completion of the Elebele bridge project, Igbedi Road, Nembe Unity Bridge, section one of the Igbogene-AIT Elebele outer ring road, Bayelsa Media Complex and the Modern Transport Terminal in Igbogene.

He also lauded Diri for commencing the New Yenagoa City road project, reconstruction of the Judges’ Quarters at Opolo, the commencement of the construction of the new commissioners’ quarters, the three senatorial roads, amongst others.

While describing Diri as a bridge-builder, political stabilizer and economy booster, Obua further thanked him for relaunching Operation Doo-Akpo for better security.

He applauded the governor for re-energizing the agricultural sector and giving the state capital a facelift through the urban renewal efforts.

The Lawmaker who assured Diri of support from his Constituents, appreciated him for the symbiotic relationship with members of the Bayelsa caucus of the National Assembly.

He stated that the synergy has resulted in his presentation of people-oriented bills and motions, delivery of strategic social amenities to communities and provision of empowerment materials to his constituents.

Obua urged Bayelsans to rally round the governor and continuously pray for the prosperity administration.
