Okpoama—The Member Representing Brass Constituency II in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Timi Agala-Omubo, on Wednesday, gifted canoes to not fewer than 30 fisherfolks in his constituency.
The distribution took place in Okpoama, Brass Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.
Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the beneficiaries who were drawn from the three wards in the constituency were said to have been losing their fishing canoes to sea pirates and some to natural damage.
It was reported that the beneficiaries were both excited and happy as they got the canoe suitable for the kind of fishing they were respectively into.
