Man lauds council boss for commencing rehabilitation of jetty in Bayelsa community

Ogbokiri—The Brass local government council, under the chairmanship of Hon. Victor Isaiah, has commenced the rehabilitation of the Ogbokiri Jetty in Akassa.

Raynus Ebiegberi Henry, a wildlife conservationist, who drew the attention of government to the deplorable condition of the jetty some weeks ago, made this known in a Facebook post.

Ebiegberi, who is also the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman of the community stated that the project is billed to be completed in 30 days.

“A fast repair job has started, and it is projected to take 30 days to complete. All resources and manpower have been mobilized and the Ogbokiri community has proven to be resolute in its support.

“Thank you for responding so quickly, Hon. Victor Isaiah, council chairman. In the meantime, we’ll keep asking for more like Oliver Twist,” he stated.
