Ogbia—The lawmaker representing Ogbia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Azibapu Fred Obua, has felicitated with former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GCFR) on the occasion of his 64th birthday.
In a statement sent to mangrovepen.ng, Obua stated that the positive impact of the former President on Bayelsa State and Nigeria, has led to numerous international engagements, which he has delivered credibly.
Obua, who is the deputy chairman House Committee on Information and National Orientation and a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, described Jonathan as a “patriotic statesman and polished leader, who has admirably maintained that his ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian.”
He appreciated the former President for “his abiding support and solidarity which has resulted in his outstanding performance at the House of Representatives as evidenced in his sponsorship of numerous bills, presentation of several motions and distribution of real-time empowerment items to constituents.”
Extolling the democratic credentials and graceful disposition of Jonathan, Obua equally commended him for his service to humanity as well as his dedication to societal development and global peace.
He wished the former President a happy birthday celebration and prayed God to give him and his family “longer life, sound health, greater grace, renewed strength and more wisdom to serve Humanity.”
