Yekini has no political value in Bayelsa, says APC stakeholder

Yenagoa—A stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Southern Ijaw local government area, Hon. Oki Tony, has chided Yekini Nabena, the former national spokesman of the party for his recent statement against Chief David Lyon.

In a statement sent to
Mangrovepen.ng on Tuesday, Oki described Nabena as a political jobber with no political value in the state.

The former special adviser to ex-Governor Seriake Dickson on waterways security noted that the people of Bayelsa massively supported Lyon in the last gubernatorial election and will continue to do so despite the statements and actions of conspirators.

In his words: “Nabena Yekini is a political jobber with no political value in the State, he is only acting the script of his masters.

“Bayelsans made their decision and voted massively for Chief David Lyon above party sentiments and political divide.

“Chief David Lyon shall prevail against the whims and caprices of the conspirators and their collaborators that is mortgaging the Illuminating prosperity and development of our beloved Bayelsa state on the altars of insatiable greed and aggrandizement.

“With unwavering hope and faith even against hope that we shall continue to stand with David Lyon come rain come sun.”

Tony urged Nabena to know that his hatred for Lyon is of public knowledge and it has become a source of concern to all right-thinking individuals across Ijaw Nation and beyond.

“He should know that the least Lyon’s follower is more popular than him, whatever opinion or grudge he and his cohorts hold against Lyon is not new to us and as such, they should perpetually bury their head in shame,” he said.
