Appreciate and be friendly with your staff, ex-council boss who gifted domestic staff cars tells leaders

Yenagoa—Former Brass Local government chairman turned businessman Hon. Bello Bina has said the reason he gifted his domestic staff vehicles is to make life easier for them.

In a statement he made available to Mangrovepen.ng Thursday night, Bina stated that his gesture to his workers is aimed at rewarding them for their relentless service, dedication and humility over the years.

“The major reason I got vehicles for my drivers and other domestic staff is to make life easier for them.

“You know things are difficult and it’s not easy for young people who are of the same age bracket with you to serve you humbly.”

Bina revealed that he expects the beneficiaries to use the cars for commercial purposes to empower themselves.

He noted that they can take advantage of the business opportunities that would follow in the commencement of flights in the Bayelsa International Airport.

According to him, “The significance of having a functional airport in the state is that business activities would spring up.

“So I expect them to go into the transportation business. If they’re making say 5,000 naira per day, they will be able to go home with something tangible at the end of the month.”

He further said that landed properties and vehicles are still in store for other loyal and committed workers as a reward and will be distributed soon.

The managing director and CEO of Be-Multi World Plus Limited
maintained that making people happy leaves him happy and fulfilled.

In a phone conversation with Mangrovepen.ng on Friday, the former council boss said: “As a politician, whether you are in government or not, try to make those who are working for you to be happy.

“This should be one of the top priorities of leaders in the Niger Delta.

“If workers are not smiling it will become a problem for you, as they may not be motivated enough to work optimally.

“Leaders should also be friendly and be humble enough to eat with workers like they are your blood relatives. Because no normal person would maltreat or look down on his or her relatives.”

Mangrovepen.ng had yesterday reported that the ex-council Boss gifted four of his domestic staff brand new cars at his residence in Yenagoa, the state capital.
