Port Harcourt—According to a report by leadership.ng, Chief David Lyon has been penned down to become the new Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
There are strong indications that the NDDC board will be constituted next month (August).
Lyon, a former gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 election, hails from Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
It was gathered that Dr. Bernard Okumagba from Delta State has also been tipped to occupy the position of Chairman of the interventionist agency.
This is because it is the turn of Delta State to fill the chairmanship position of the Board.
Others said to be on the list as members of the NDDC Board include Chief Osamuyi Graham Igbinidu from Edo State as Executive Director, Projects and Mr. Otobong Ndem from Akwa Ibom is nominated as Executive Director, Finance and Administration,
Mr. Saturday Uwuilekhue, Mr. Deyanbofa Dimaro, among others, are also Board members from the oil-producing states of the region.
