Lawmaker educates constituents on the importance of INEC continuous voter registration

…says PDP will win all elective seats in Brass LGA

Brass—Dr. Daniel Charles, the lawmaker representing Brass Constituency I in the Bayelsa state House of Assembly, has charged constituents to actively participate in the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise coming up on the 28th of June 2021.

Mangrovepen.ng gathered that the lawmaker made the statement while speaking with selected newsmen on Thursday in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital.

He described the CVR as a veritable tool that ensures the voice of the people is heard.

He called on constituents to come out en masse for the registration exercise, averring that “the CVR will guarantee the political relevance of the constituency.”

The lawmaker insisted that: “It is only through the ballot that you can elect or reelect a leader you desire to hold public office in a democratic system. And of course, this is done using your PVC.

“I, therefore, call on all eligible voters from Brass Constituency I to take full advantage of the opportunity to get their PVC intact, in order to exercise their franchise in the 2023 general elections.”

Daniel appealed to leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Brass Local Government Area to work concertedly in providing necessary logistical support for eligible voters from the area residing in other parts of the state.

“While I am sure the PDP will win all seats in the coming elections in Brass and beyond, we must ensure that all our supporters who are 18yrs and above are duly registered,” he added.
