The Bayelsa state government has reacted to the reported arrest of Bodmas Kemepadei, a blogger and Special Assistant on New Media to the Bayelsa state governor, by the Department of State Services (DSS).
Kola Oredipe, Director, New Media, who issued a statement on behalf of the Bayelsa State government said: “Let it be clear that Kemepadei lacks the authority to speak directly for His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State.

“Kemepadei, in the said video and other posts, must have obviously spoken as a private citizen and not as a government official because the Governor could never have authorised such comments against Mr. President,” he said.
Mangrovepen.ng gathered that Bodmas Kemepadei was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS), over some posts he made on the social media against President Muhammadu Buhari.
