Most people feel sad when they’re not valued or given commensurate pay for their job. Some tend to give up on their cherished dreams because of not being appreciated enough.
But is that the best thing to do? Is it right to stop chasing your dream(s) because of the disposition of an ignorant boss or an unappreciative superior? Of course not!

I agree there’re times when one has to quit a job to move on; to be in a place where she or he is valued and well appreciated. But too often are we fit and competent enough to perform optimally in the next job.
I have long realized that self-improvement is the best reaction to ill-treatment. So instead of just disturbing myself over not being valued or appreciated enough, I study, restrategize and make myself more competent. For tomorrow!
HOW POGBA’S IMPROVEMENT INCREASED HIS WORTH
If you’re a football fan, then the name Paul Labile Pogba will be familiar to you. The French international got signed by the English side, Manchester United, with a record-breaking 89.3m Pounds Sterling, which as at that time made him the most expensive footballer in the world.

The retinue of stars then made Sir Alex Ferguson prefer other midfielders to Pogba. So he joined the Italian giants, Juventus, and helped them win several trophies including four consecutive Serial A titles.
This compelled the Red Devils to desperately demand his service. But this time the tables had turned, and he named his price. And even as the fee seemed outrageous, the club paid because they now got to appreciate his worth.
Pogba did not just leave Old Trafford with a dispirited soul. Yes, he might have felt bad that the club could not see his worth then, still, he knew what he possessed and trained harder to be a more skillful footballer.
Maybe no one is taking you seriously in your current job, and you aren’t appreciated enough. Don’t let that depress you. Self-improvement is the solution; it remains a sure way to increasing your worth.
Take a decision today to improve yourself. Sacrifice your time, energy, and money to train yourself, having in mind that the time will soon come when you will give your price. By then, your employers will value and appreciate you, whether they like it or not. It pays to be competent. So strive to improve yourself.
