Women have dealt with me in my career—Davido

Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star Davido has opened up about the challenges women brought into his career, admitting that his past lifestyle caused him more problems than pleasure.

He, however, said that getting married has helped him find peace and curb his womanising habits.

Speaking on ‘The Breakfast Club’, Davido shared that his team has noticed a change in his behaviour since he tied the knot, so much so that some have jokingly complained that things have become “boring.”

“The other day, I walked in on my boys talking, and I asked what the conversation was about. They said, ‘Boss, we’re not having any fun. You’ve changed. Where are the girls?” Davido recalled. “I told them, ‘Where are the girls? When I get into trouble, everybody disappears and leaves me to deal with the internet alone. Nah.”

He candidly admitted that women had “dealt with” him over the years and said he’s no longer interested in the chaos that came with that lifestyle.

“I’ve had five kids with four different women. That came with a lot of challenges,” he said. “But I’m good now. Trust me, I’ve been at the highest of the highest. The best time is when there’s no problem at all. I don’t care how much money you have—there’s nothing like peace of mind.”

Davido’s decision to settle down marks a shift in focus, as he now prioritizes a quieter, more stable life away from the drama of his past.
