The Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 Bayelsa gubernatorial election, Great Joshua MacIver, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for signing the South-South Development Commission (SSDC) Bill into law.
It would be recalled that President Tinubu recently assented to the bill which was sponsored by Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong (Cross River South District) and other lawmakers.
Excited over the new development, Maclver averred that Tinubu has sealed his place “in the anals of history of the long-suffering peoples of the South-South region of Nigeria.”
Maclver, in an appreciation message made available to Mangrovepen on Friday, described the Nigerian leader as a champion of fairness and justice as well as man of his words.
He also appreciated Senate President Godswill Akpabio and members of the National Assembly for the successful passage of the bill.
“Thank you for standing up for justice. May God bless you all and may God bless Nigeria,” the statement concluded.
