Chief Julius Bokoru, media aide to former Bayelsa State Governor, Chief Timipre Sylva, has been accepted to attend the Ebedi International Writers Residency at Iseyin, Oyo State.
The residency which is the widely celebrated in West Africa provides a conducive, serviced and serene facility for writers to conclude ongoing works of art including painting, film and music.
The residency has played host to various top writers across the continent and has been the birthing point for many great books published in the nearly two decades of its existence.
Bokoru, reacting to the development, thanked God for his acceptance and praised his boss for supporting him.
It was gathered that the invited writers numbering up to four and selected strictly on merit across Africa, will in their 4-week stay at Iseyin teach their craft to selected secondary and teriary students.
They will also have regular interactions with journalists on life at Iseyin and the progress of their works.
