The Political Adviser to Governor Douye Diri, High Chief Collins Cocodia, has urged Friends of Douye Diri Group (FSDD) to continue in their unwavering support for his principal.
The governor’s aide gave the admonition while receiving members of the group in his office in Yenagoa on Tuesday.
He also admonished them to prioritize the aim of the group, ensure its success, and thoroughly scrutinize its members as well as look out for their welfare.
Cocodia profusely praised the commitment and support of the group’s leadership and members toward the state government led by Governor Diri.
Speaking on the 2027 governorship race, Cocodia noted that the election of the governor’s successor is a collective responsibility.
He, therefore, urged the group to also play their role effectively for a peaceful process.
Earlier, speaking on behalf of the Friends of Douye Diri (FSDD), President of the group, Prince Bodi Arerebo, commended Cocodia for his commitment to the group’s activities.
He assured Cocodia that the FSDD will continue to work with other stakeholders in championing the course of the Governor, and ensure the successful election and handover to a worthy successor.
