One-year-in-office: third phase ex-agitators commend Otuaro for his achievements

National Chairman of the Third Phase Ex-agitators Forum of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, Mr. Preye Ekpebide, has commended the Administrator, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, for his sterling performance and unique leadership of the Amnesty Office one year after being appointed.

Ekpebide made the commendation while felicitating Otuaro on his one year anniversary in office via a statement on Friday.

He said the PAP under Otuaro has made incredible strides and achieved landmark feats in just under one year.

He particularly hailed Otuaro for the sustenance of educational scholarships for qualified Niger Deltans, consistent engagement with stakeholders, as well as ensuring sustainable peace and security through the proper implementation of the programme.

He also extolled the PAP boss for his “efforts in exploring funding opportunities for beneficiaries who have been trained in vocational skills.”

He added that Otuaro has so far walked the talk by putting the peace, security and development of the Niger Delta as a priority, above parochial interest.

“This he has achieved through the mainstreaming of ex-agitators and creating opportunities for them to become self-sufficient,” he said.

Ekpebide also hailed Otuaro’s “steadfastness and focus amidst blackmail and needless attacks by detractors.”

He urged the PAP boss to remain focused on his job, adding that his noble mandate of successfully implementing the programme can only be achieved with absolute dedication and passion which he said Otuaro has demonstrated so far in office.

Ekpebide further noted that the Third Phase Ex-agitators Forum has passed a vote of confidence in Otuaro and is fully supporting the PAP administrator in office.
