
The leadership of Kpongbon-Kiri Community in Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State has felicitated the former Deputy Governor of the state, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (rtd), on the occasion of his 71st birthday.
The felicitation was contained in a press statement issued by the General Secretary/Youth Leader of the community, Allen Hope Jonah, Esq.
“We are pleased to celebrate our beloved kinsman and esteemed torchbearer as he attains a new milestone in his life.
“It’s worth recalling how His Excellency significantly made his mark in the Nigerian Military and also served Bayelsa State meritoriously as Deputy Governor between 2012-2020,” the statement noted.
The Kpongbon-Kiri natives described the former deputy governor as an exceptional leader of many parts who has dedicated a greater part of his life to the service of his family, community and humanity.
According to the statement, “His Excellency, Gboribiogha, is a mentor of mentors and leader of leaders: an exalted height he attained by virtue of the sterling leadership qualities and high sense of integrity he has effortlessly demonstrated over the years.
“The entire people of Kpongbon-Kiri are therefore proud to be associated with His Excellency and wish him well as always.”
The statement further prayed for Jonah, who presently chairs the Bayelsa State Elders Council, to remain healthy, cheerful and inspired to continue contributing to the growth of his community, state, and the nation as well.
