Chief J. A. Palimote-Gelsthorpe, a chief from Minibie Kingdom in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, has expressed gratitude to his family, friends, and well-wishers following his recent induction into the Akassa Clan Council of Chiefs, ACCC.
Palimote-Gelsthorpe was first coronated as a family chief on 2nd January 2024 and later inducted into the Minibie Council of Chiefs on 29th September 2024.
He was finally inducted into the apex body of Akassa chiefs (ACCC) on 21st December 2024 at Ogbokiri alongside 70 others.
Palimote-Gelsthorpe while expressing joy and gratitude of being chalked as a chief, acknowledged the responsibility that comes with the title.
“The task is huge but with the help of God and the support of my people I will do my best to succeed,” he assured.
In an exclusive interview with Mangrovepen.ng, Chief Palimote-Gelsthorpe disclosed that his vision is to unite the family in the areas where necessary.
He said he also hopes to create an avenue to build a prosperous and more purposeful family which he is now the head.
He promised that he will give his utmost best to do what is required of him as the family head and representative.
Palimote-Gelsthorpe, who described his elevation as the will of God, thanked all persons who made it possible for his coronation as chief and subsequent induction into the ACCC.
