Christmas: Amotoi CEO felicitates Nigerian Christians, sues for love, charity

The Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of a leading energy company in the country, Barr. Amunaboye Clement, has felicitated Christians on this year’s yuletide celebrations, urging them to celebrate the season in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The Bayelsa-born corporate icon shared an inspiring Christmas message to Nigerians, encouraging unity, hope, and resilience during this festive season.

In a press statement issued to journalists via electronic mail on Tuesday, Barr. Clement opined that “the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ demands every Nigerian of the Christian faith to embrace the season’s spirit by supporting those in need, cherishing family moments, and remaining hopeful for better days ahead.

“Christmas is worth celebrating because it signifies the birth of our Lord and Saviour, who came in human form for our salvation.”

He also urged Christians to celebrate the season by demonstrating love, charity and forgiveness to others.

“As we celebrate Christmas, a season of joy, giving, and reflection, let us remember the values that bind us as Nigerians: hope, charity and unwavering resilience.

“Despite the hurdles we have faced as a people, this season reminds us of the power of togetherness and the importance of extending kindness to one another,” he said.

“Moreover, amidst the festivities, we should forgive those who may have offended us, just as Christ commands us to love one another considering our imperfect nature,” Barr. Clement added.

The business magnate and philanthropist, however, advised Christians to practice moderation for their own health.

He stressed that “people should not allow the euphoria that comes with the season to eat or drink more than what their bodies can carry; as doing so does not also reflect the extraordinary life and teachings of the celebrant (Jesus Christ).”

While noting that Christ lived a peaceful life throughout his physical stay on earth, Barr. Clement urged adherents to stay peaceful throughout the yuletide season.

The Amotoi CEO also highlighted the strides made by Amotoi Global Services in contributing to Nigeria’s economic growth and energy sector development.

He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to empower individuals and communities and support the nation’s journey toward sustainable energy solutions.

“We at Amotoi are proud to have been a part of Nigeria’s progress this year. Our investments in energy innovation and social responsibility/responsiveness reflect our dedication to a brighter future for our nation.

“As we look forward to the new year, we remain committed to making our planet a better place through impactful policies and programmes,” he added.

Barr. Clement also praised the staff of the company and stakeholders for their significant dedication and outstanding synergy that have contributed to overall organisational success.

“For us at Amotoi, 2024 has been a remarkable year of growth, resilience, and innovation. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our staff, the trust of our partners, and the loyalty of our customers. Your contributions, support, and commitment have been the cornerstone of our success.

“This Christmas, let us take time to celebrate the achievements we’ve shared while looking forward to the opportunities that await us in the coming year. Thank you for being an integral part of our journey.

“On behalf of my family and the Amotoi Group, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year,” he stated.
