Ahead of the Ijaw Media Conference 2024, the Ijaw Publishers’ Forum (IPF), on Tuesday, paid a courtesy visit to High Chief Collins Cocodia, the traditional Prime Minister of Kabowei Kingdom, in Yenagoa.
Speaking during the visit, Cocodia commended the group’s resilience in telling the Ijaw story in the most acceptable manner, adding that most narratives about the Ijaw people are false.
He also commended the group’s efforts to coordinate Ijaw media practitioners to foster a more significant Ijaw presence in the media sector.
Cocodia who is also the Special Adviser to Governor Douye Diri on Political Matters, pledged his support and participation in the forthcoming Ijaw Media Conference slated for December 11, 2024.
The IPF delegation was led by its president, Comrade Ozobo Austin, and others including MMD Tamsokunbiri CEO of Kpakam Tv, Mr. Sunday Ayemofaye, CEO of Ogulagha Vanguard, and Mr Benjamin Tamaradoubra, CEO of Ijaw Heritage Tv.
