The Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has commended the Edo State Government led by Governor Godwin Obaseki for its developmental projects and initiatives.
Diri made the commendation during his remarks at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Edo Entertainment Arena in Benin on Wednesday.
The project, when completed, will serve as an entertainment and creativity hub for the Edo people, as well as those from neighboring states.
Governor Diri who was represented by his immediate past Political Adviser, High Chief Collins Cocodia, praised the Edo Governor for not being perturbed by the fact that he has few months left in office, but was still embarking on milestone projects.
While assuring that his achievements remain in the hearts of Edo people for years to come, High Chief Cocodia urged his successor to emulate the visions of Dr. Obaseki, and ensure continuation and completion of his ideas and projects.
The groundbreaking ceremony of the entertainment hub which was performed by Edo-born music artiste, Divine Ekubor, popularly known as Rema, is part of activities marking the 33rd anniversary of Edo State.
