The student wing of the Bayelsa State All Progressives Congress (APC) has hailed Nigeria’s Oil Minister, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, for his exemplary leadership as well as peaceful disposition to issues.
This is coming on the heels of the minister’s visit to Governor Douye Diri on Wednesday to call for calm in the state ahead of the nationwide protest which began yesterday, Thursday.
The group in a statement made available to Mangrovepen.ng described Lokpobiri as a unifier and a change-maker who has tirelessly worked to bring together diverse groups within the state.
According to the group, the minister is also a leader of the people, transcending political boundaries as well as leader of the Bayelsa State APC who has fostered unity within the party and Bayelsa in general.
“Sen. Lokpobiri’s leadership is characterised by his ability to work collaboratively with other leaders, ensuring a cohesive approach to governance that prioritises the well-being of all citizens.
“His actions have consistently demonstrated a dedication to fostering a peaceful and prosperous Bayelsa State. The APC Student Wing takes great pride in his achievements and the positive impact he continues to make in the community.
“In an era marked by challenges and uncertainty, Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, PhD, stands as a beacon of hope and inspiration.
“His legacy as a unifier, changemaker, and advocate for peace and progress will leave an indelible mark on the history of Bayelsa State.
“His work alongside notable figures like Chief David Lyon and Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli further underscores his commitment to the growth and development of our dear state,” the group noted in the statement.
