The Niger Delta Rural Women for Sustainable Development (NDRWSD) has hailed the appointment of Bayelsa-born Didi Esther Walson-Jack as Head of Service of the Federation by President Bola Tinubu.
The group commended the appointment through a press statement made available to our correspondent on Thursday.
The statement, which was signed by Hon. Helen Inafa-Bob, the group’s coordinator, noted that Walson-Jack’s appointment is commendable and well-deserved.
According to the statement, “The appointment is coming at the right time, considering the growing call for more women to be included in the governance of Nigeria for us to contribute meaningfully to national development and nation-building”
Walson-Jack is a top professional and a high-ranking civil servant with years of experience and expertise, she stated.
While insisting that it is only fitting for Walson-Jack to become the next HoS going by her impressive resume, Inafa-Bob expressed confidence that the civil service under her leadership will experience growth.
She also expressed the belief that Walson-Jack will make Bayelsa and indeed the Niger Delta proud in her new role as HoS of the federation.
“This appointment by President Bola Tinubu is very laudable and well-deserved and we have no doubt that she will make exploits,” the statement concluded.
