Bayelsa-born entrepreneur, Moses Siloko Siasia, has urged stakeholders in the Niger Delta region to prioritize the inclusion of modern e-learning tools and technological hubs as part of the region’s new developmental strategy.
Siasia made this known on Friday in Port Harcourt at the Niger Delta Stakeholders Summit organized by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
According to him, “Economic development and infrastructural development cannot be complete without human capital and capacity development, which are key to the advancement of every society.”
While noting that education is the best investment, he appealed for educational inclusion in the Niger Delta regional developmental strategy.
Siasia, who averred that most young people in the region are not abreast with modern realities, also called for the establishment of developmental centers to groom them.
He urged stakeholders in the region, especially the board and management of the NDDC, to “key into the modern trend of digitalization, where we deliberately create institutions of tech hubs across the nine Niger Delta states to give our youth robust training capacity so that they can compete with their contemporaries anywhere in the world.”
