Renowned activist and former President of the Ijaw Youth Council, Engr. Elvis Donkemezuo, has been honoured by the Joseph Evah Academy alongside other great personalities in its Nigeria Hall of Fame.
Comrade Joseph Evah said Donkemezuo was honoured based on his hard work to encourage human capacity development to unlock not only Ijaw but Niger Delta educational potentials.
“A member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, a global player in the energy sector, former President of the famous Ijaw Youth Council, human and environmental rights activist,” Evah described Donkemezuo.
While receiving the honour in the academy’s office in Lagos,
Donkemezuo expressed gratitude to Evah and his team for finding him worthy.
The former spokesman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Yenagoa Branch said: “To the glory of God and mankind, I humbly accept this noble gesture for being among the few lucky persons that have been honoured in our most revered Nigeria Hall of Fame.
“I thank our father, leader and comrade who has demonstrated leadership by example.”
The Joseph Evah Nigeria Hall of Fame Academy was established to honour deserving sons and daughters of Ijaw, Niger Delta and Nigeria at large for their positive contributions and efforts to the development of the country in their chosen fields.
