Otuaro to meet camp leaders of phase 1,2,3 in Warri

The Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has invited leaders of the Phase 1, 2 and 3 ex-agitators camps across the Niger Delta states to a meeting with the Administrator, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, on the 25th June 2024 in Warri, Delta State.

This was disclosed in a statement by PAP’s head of peace building and conflict resolution/stakeholders management department, Adam Ogumogu Marbo.

According to him, the purpose of the meeting is to re-strategise, rebuild, reunite, reconstruct and rebrand the PAP under Otuaro.

The statement also rallied support for Otuaro and urged all critical stakeholders and beneficiaries of PAP to support the people oriented policies and programmes of the Administrator.

The statements reads in part below:

“We must embrace the genuine transformational leadership, servant leadership and democratic leadership styles of High Chief (Dr) Dennis Brutu Otuaro, the Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme as critical stakeholders and beneficiaries of PAP.

“As delegates/beneficiaries of PAP, you all must realise that by 25th of June 2024, the Presidential Amnesty Programme will be fifteen (15) years of existence.

“That is why we must stand up to correct every error and abnormality we discover in the system so that we can happily celebrate this God-given homegrown Disarmament, Demobilization and Re-integration (DDR) programme for the 30,000 beneficiaries in the Niger Delta region.

“As the strategic peace building and conflict resolution/stakeholders management department of the Presidential Amnesty office is concerned, Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme has take it upon himself to meet with the various camp leaders in the three phases across the States of Ondo, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross-River, Akwa Ibom, Imo and Abia State precisely in the City of Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.

“The Peace building and conflict resolution/Stakeholders management Department, office of the Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme, wishes to welcome all invited camp leaders peacefully to join hands with the Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme to identify issues and challenges affecting the smooth running of the PAP.

“We must defend and protect the integrity and image of the Presidential Amnesty Programme and the office, under the administration of High Chief (Dr) Dennis Brutu Otuaro as leaders in the struggle.

“The PAP is back to live under Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro and all beneficiaries will enjoy the benefits of the Presidential Amnesty Programme in the present Management team.

“I urge all critical stakeholders and beneficiaries of PAP to support the people oriented policies and programmes of the Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme.

“All invited camp leaders are welcomed to the leadership meeting with the Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme in order to re-strategise, rebuild, reunite, reconstruct and rebrand the DDR programme under the distinguished leadership of High Chief (Dr) Dennis Brutu Otuaro.”

Marbo assured that the PAP boss is concerned about fostering sustainable peace, stability and development in the Niger Delta.

He therefore called on people of the region to come together for Otuaro to actualize the mandate for businesses to thrive in the region for the benefit of all and sundry.

“Togetherness, we get it right as the good people of Niger Delta,” the statement concluded.
