Head coach of South Africa, Hugo Broos, has identified Ademola Lookman as Nigeria’s danger man ahead of their clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo today.
Lookman heads into the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in fantastic form having scored five goals in his last three games for Serie A club, Atalanta.
The winger also impressed at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where he scored three goals and registered one assist in six games.
Despite acknowledging Lookman’s threat, Broos stated that they would focus on their game.
“Obviously, the danger man is Ademola Lookman, but we are not focusing on that,” Broos told reporters in Uyo.
“We are focusing on our game, we have the ability and we have proven that at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire.”
