A former Assistant Secretary General of the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) worldwide, Mr Anthony Oki has congratulated Mr Daniel Alabrah on his reappointment as Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Doye Diri.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Monday, Oki described Alabrah as a remarkable leader and seasoned journalist whose experience has distinguished him.
According to Oki, Alabrah’s extensive experience working with reputable media organizations such as the Daily Independent, where he held positions as a former production editor, regional editor and news editor makes him the best for the job.
“Additionally, he served as the former deputy editor of the Sun newspaper and was the head of media and communication for the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP).
“Notably, Alabrah also served as the Special Adviser on public affairs to the former Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Seriake Dickson. His reappointment as Chief Press Secretary (CPS) has changed the fortunes and narrative of Bayelsa State for good,” he said.
He lauded Alabrah for his outstanding contributions toward the growth of the media industry in Bayelsa.
His words, “Alabrah has worked so hard on himself and created the necessary advantage to convince others of his potential and abilities which has not only elevated the image of the prosperity Government but have also resonated on an international scale.
“I urge him to put in the very best in the discharge of his responsibilities and continue in the stride of his achievements and indeed redouble his efforts towards leaving footprints in the sands of time. As the saying goes, “To whom much is given, much is Expected.”
Oki who thanked Diri for Alabrah’s reappointing, stressed that his continued service stands as a powerful testament to divine grace and the unwavering trust placed in him.
