PDP stakeholders nominate Amakuro as Ogbia Ward 9 councilorship candidate in Bayelsa

Prince Isaac Amakuro has reportedly emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ogbia Ward 9 councilorship seat in the upcoming local government council elections in Bayelsa State.

This was made known in a letter addressed to the Bayelsa State Chairman of the PDP by stakeholders of the party in Ogbia Ward 9.

“After due consultation with critical stakeholders and leadership of our Great Party, we unanimously nominate Prince Isaac Amakuro as the candidate of our Party for Ogbia Ward 9 Councillorship seat in the forthcoming Local Government Council Election in the State.


“This nomination takes into consideration, the gentleman internal zoning arrangement amongst the four (4) communities of Kolo 1, 2, 3 and Amurukeni which make up Kolo Ward 9,” the letter reads.

Mangrovepen.ng reports that the Bayelsa Independent Electoral Commission (BYSIEC) had announced April 6, 2024, as the date for the conduct of the council polls.

It was also gathered that stakeholders in the 8 Local Government Areas were mandated to make nominations for chairpersons and councilorship candidates.
