…felicitate Diri, Ewhrudjakpo on inauguration
The Niger Delta Rural Women for Sustainable Development (NDRWSD) has congratulated Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo on their successful inauguration for a second term in office.
The group also felicitated the government and people of Bayelsa State for a successful election last year.
In a statement signed by the Convener, Hon. Helen Bob, the group maintained that Diri’s electoral victory in the 2023 Bayelsa Guber poll was well-deserved given his impressive performance in his first tenure in office.
The NDRWSD however pledged its continued support for Douye Diri throughout his second term in office and expressed its readiness to partner with the state government in the overall development of the rural Niger Delta women in the state.
“We are looking forward to a robust partnership with the Bayelsa State government in human capital development, education, health, and social development for rural women empowerment across the Eight local government areas of Bayelsa State.
“We however wish Gov. Douye Diri and his deputy, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo a fruitful and impactful second tenure in office,” the statement partly read.
