Brass—An indigene of Twon Brass, Ms. Awotongha Collins, has appreciated the paramount ruler of Sambo-Ama in Twon Brass Kingdom, HRH Samuel Sambo, for sponsoring her emergency appendicitis operation (appendectomy).
In a chat with a mangrovepen.ng reporter on Thursday, Ms. Collins stated that due to the severity of her condition, God used the paramount ruler to save her life.
According to her, “on 18 December 2023, I went to meet His Royal Highness. He had called for a meeting and I was lucky to be there.
“He asked me what I wanted and I said I have pains in my stomach. There and then I went for a scan and the result showed that I had Appendicitis.
“Immediately, he called a doctor and asked me to go see him so he could commence the surgery. It was like a miracle.”
She profusely thanked the monarch for coming to her aid and prayed to God to bless him to do more for humanity.
It will be recalled that the paramount ruler through the Sambo Foundation has been at the forefront of granting scholarships to indigent students in the Niger Delta region.
The nonprofit making organization has also been involved in several welfare programmes and medical outreaches.
Our reporter gathered that Ms. Collins is one out of five indigenes of Twon Brass who underwent emergency surgery under the sponsorship of the Sambo Foundation during the yuletide season.
