Adaminegbe congratulates Diri on electoral victory

Yenagoa—The Director General of Sylva Bounce Back and a former youth president of Okoroma clan in Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Hon. Adaminegbe Meremubio has heartily congratulated Governor Douye Diri on his victory at the November 11 Bayelsa gubernatorial election.

He adjudged the outcome of the election as the true reflection of the people’s yearning and verdict.

Meremubio who recently defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the All Progressives Congress (APC) said the victory of Senator Douye Diri did not come as a surprise to him because he knew his former party lacked the organization and unity to win at the just concluded poll.

In a statement made available to Mangrovepen.ng, the now PDP stalwart noted that the APC was the architect of their downfall.

He added that “the Bayelsa APC is a one-man business venture where only the leader decides on everything,” stressing that such a setting could not have produced success even in a local government election.

He said, “Congratulations to our amiable Governor, Senator Douye Diri on his re-election as the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State.

“His victory was one that is well-deserved and I knew he would win the election because the APC which is the main opposition party is a completely disorganized party run like a one-man business venture where only the leader decides on everything.

“Apparently, this created cracks in the party and consequently played a role in costing the party the election.”

Meremubio who further hailed Diri’s first tenure performance, urged the governor to do even more in his second tenure.

He maintained that Bayelsans have reposed their trust in Diri by voting for his re-election and therefore he should reciprocate by “continuing his good works in the state.”
