NSE Yenagoa gets new leadership, as chairman promises to lead above board

Yenagoa—The Bayelsa State Chapter of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has elected new executives to run the affairs of the organization for the next two years.

The executives who were inaugurated on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, have Engr. Edoghotu B. Jonah as Chairman, Engr. Adou Doubara David, Vice-Chairman, Engr. Egbe Wisdom Ebiyeritei, Financial Secretary and Engr. Rebecca C. Idubamo, Treasurer.

Others are Engr. Diepreye Owana-Omubu, Assistant Secretary, Engr. Deborah Ebimienkumo, Secretary, Engr. Eluantein Jokori, Technical Secretary, Engr. James Sokari, Ex-officio and Engr. Elvis Donkemezuo, Publicity Secretary.

According to a statement issued by the new spokesman, Elvis Engr. Donkemezuo, the outgoing chairman of the NSE, Engr. James Sokari thanked members of the NSE in Yenagoa for their overwhelming support throughout his tenure as chairman.

Sokari equally pledged to work diligently with the newly inaugurated executive in the interest of all members.

“On his part, the new chairman, Engr. Edoghotu B. Jonah promised to lead above board and effect the needed growth and recognition engineers in the state deserve,” the statement hinted.

While soliciting the assistance of well-meaning individuals and organizations to support the aspirations of engineers in the state, Jonah also charged engineers to conform with the ethics of the engineering profession.
