Brass—The Caretaker Chairman of Brass Local Government Council, Hon. Alabo Hanson Karika has averred that regular exercise contributes significantly to the overall health of the human body.
He therefore urged the people of Brass to exercise their bodies as often as they can if they want to live healthily and actualize their life goals.
Karika gave the admonition on Thursday shortly after leading the second edition of the weekly Brass prosperity walk held in Twon Brass, the council headquarters.
In his words: “exercise contributes a lot to our health, mentally and emotionally and it gladdens my heart seeing the young and aged being involved.”
The exercise will continue as long as he remains the chairman of Brass council area, he hinted.
The Brass council boss however pointed out that the weekly exercise “is not only meant for members of PDP but for every citizen of the local government as I am into the business of creating peace and harmony among our people.”
The chairman appreciated everyone for taking part in the prosperity walk and asked for God’s protection upon all participants till the next edition.
Also speaking, Pastor Iyabi Otonte, who also participated in the exercise, highlighted the impact the weekly walk has on the lives of the people of Brass.
He lauded Karika for towing the steps of Governor Douye Diri by organising and participating actively in the weekly exercise.
Twenty-five persons were given cash gifts after winning the raffle draw aimed at motivating the people to participate in the weekly exercise.
