Lawmaker, Daniel Charles hails traditional ruler at 60, describes him as a blessing

Brass—The lawmaker representing Brass constituency I in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Daniel Charles has described HRH, Samuel Sambo—the Amadabo of Sambo-ama in Twon Brass Kingdom, Bayelsa State—as a blessing to his family and the kingdom.

This was contained in a felicitation message made available to mangrovepen.ng by the lawmaker on Thursday on the occasion of monarch’s 60th birthday.

He described Sambo as a father who has come through for him in times of need and someone proud to see him progress in the journey of life.

“We all have those who love and look out for us even in our absence, those who are patient with us, those who are always ready to tell us the bitter truth, those who do not relent in giving us a helping hand whenever the need arises, and those who are happy and proud to see us progressing in life.

“That is what my dear father and king, HRH Samuel Sambo represent. From my childhood days till now, he has been a blessing not only to our family but to Sambo-Ama and I dare say Twon Brass Kingdom as well.”

The lawmaker who lauded the celebrant for his sterling character, humility, selflessness, and ingenuity said he is inspired by Sambo’s generosity and love for education and his habitual award of scholarships to students across states in the Niger Delta.

While further hailing Sambo for his benevolence by saying that the Royal Father has touched countless lives, Charles stated that he is proud to be associated with the traditional ruler who he said has inspired many with his inestimable lifestyle.

The lawmaker prayed for God’s favour and protection over the monarch’s life as he expressed the belief that Sambo would live many more decades to inspire lives and impact society.

The statement further reads, “In his 60 years, he has traversed the world, he has seen it all, and he has done it all. It, therefore, does not surprise me to see him exhibiting a sterling character, humility, selflessness, and ingenuity with reckless abandon.

“Every day, we see the wisdom of age and exposure in his thought pattern, speech, and approach to life.

“His charitable gestures to the needy, regardless of where they come from, remain imitable. Everyone who knows His Royal Highness would without hesitation attest that he has a very large heart.

“We are inspired by his generosity and love for education, which he has continued to show in the award of scholarships to indigent students, particularly in Bayelsa and Rivers States.

“It is public knowledge that our beloved Royal Father has touched countless lives and been a source of inspiration to so many of us. Hence, I am delighted and proud to be associated with this icon that we are celebrating today.

“I am confident, by the grace of God, that His Royal Highness would live more decades to make more impact in our lives and the society at large. May God’s favour and protection never elude him as he continues to live for others.

“Long live Sambo X!”
