Guber poll: We will ensure Diri’s victory in Brass LGA—Karika pledges

Brass—The Caretaker Chairman of Brass Local Government Council, Hon. Alabo Hanson Karika, Friday, promised to mobilize support to realize the re-election bid of Governor Douye Diri and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

Karika made the statement in Twon Brass while speaking at the Brass Youth Confab organized by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youths in the area.

“Governor Diri has done well for Brass and the entire Bayelsa State, so no stone will be left unturned to ensure victory,” he declared.

The Brass council boss said a win for Diri in the forthcoming election is a win for Brass, assuring that the prosperity government is committed to completing the ongoing Nembe-Brass road within the second tenure.

According to Karika, “Douye Diri has contributed so much, hence the only thing we need to do is convince our brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers to vote for the ruling party PDP.”

He promised to be “a chairman with a difference, one who is ready to work, provide security, attend to the cries of the people, and bring the vision of the Governor to reality.”

He commended the Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere and the lawmaker representing Brass Constituency 1, Dr. Daniel Charles for delivering the goods of the prosperity administration in their respective constituencies.

He equally hailed other leaders and stakeholders in the area for flying the flag of the PDP, assuring that “if we continue to close ranks, Governor Diri will win with a wide margin and our people will enjoy more dividends of democracy in the second tenure.”

The council helmsman thanked the PDP youths for campaigning relentlessly for the party and noted that their sacrifices will not go in vain.
