You are a traitor, group chides Sunny-Goli on recent outburst against Sylva

Yenagoa—A group, the New Bayelsa Reclamation Project (NBRP) has chided Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, the immediate past member representing Brass-Nembe federal constituency over his recent outburst and withdrawal of loyalty to his principal, Chief Timipre Sylva.

The group described the ex-lawmaker’s actions as the ultimate act of betrayal and disloyalty.

The NBRP in a statement issued on Friday in Yenagoa via its convener, Chief Eki Allen-Inain also described the ex-lawmaker’s outburst against Sylva as the “macabre dance of an ungrateful fellow without electoral value.”

The group in the statement said Sunny-Goli by his recent actions has shown his true colours as a traitor, stating that he has always been a weak link in Sylva’s political family.

The group labelled the former lawmaker as an opportunist who fed fat on Sylva’s benevolence without any commensurate electoral value or impact from his constituency.

The group called on the supporters of the former governor to ignore Sunny-Goli’s “treacherous outburst” and rather focus on delivering their principal on the ballot come the November governorship election.

“Ignore Israel Sunny-Goli’s treacherous outburst and rather rejoice that it has only paved the way for vibrant, genuinely committed, and result-oriented persons to ensure victory at the polls for our principal—Chief Timipre Sylva,” the statement partly read.

The statement further called on supporters of Sylva to expose people with betrayal tendencies in their midst, adding that such persons should be declared persona non grata to their political family.
