Complete documentation before Monday screening—Tinubu to Ministerial nominees

Abuja—President Bola Tinubu has asked all the ministerial nominees to complete their documentation before their screening scheduled for Monday, according to SaharaReporters.

Speaking through his Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Abdullahi Gumel, the president in a statement on Friday said the documentation for all ministerial nominees had commenced.

According to Gumel, the nominees are to visit the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate) at the National Assembly complex, between Friday 28 and Sunday 30 July for necessary documentation ahead of screening, which starts on Monday.

“Documentation for ministerial nominees has commenced and all nominees are expected to complete all necessary processes before the screening.

“The office will be open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for this purpose, this is to enable all nominees to complete the process before the screening.”

Tinubu through his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Thursday—a day before the expiration of the 60-day constitutional deadline of July 28, 2023, submitted the ministerial list to the National Assembly.

The 28-member list, mostly dominated by politicians, has four former governors, former members of the Senate and House of Representatives with seven women representing 25% of the nominees are women while 75% are men.
